Galicia reaffirms its position as a gastronomic reference in Spain. With the latest edition of the Michelin Guide, the region reaches a total of 19 Michelin-starred restaurants, highlighting the richness of our land, the sea, and the inland areas.

This year we welcome Miguel González and Vértigo, the two new restaurants recognized with Michelin Stars, reflecting a strong commitment to quality, creativity, and innovation in every culinary proposal.

List of Michelin-starred Restaurants in Galicia

A CORUÑA
It is the province with the most Michelin Stars, with eight restaurants:

  • Retiro da Costiña (2 stars)
    Located in Santa Comba under the direction of Manuel Costiña, Retiro da Costiña combines Galician tradition and creativity. Its refined dishes highlight local land and sea products, reinterpreted with elegance and impeccable technique, consolidating its prestige in the region.
  • Árbore da Veira (1 star)
    Situated on Monte de San Pedro and led by chefs Luis Veira and Iria Espinosa, it offers Galician product-based cuisine, blending tradition and modernity. Its tasting menus emphasize seafood and garden products, providing a balanced and authentic gastronomic experience.
  • As Garzas (1 star)
    In Malpica, Eva Fares in the kitchen and Xurxo Agrasar in desserts and as sommelier bring freshness, focusing on tradition and modernity, with top-quality Galician products cooked with respect to enhance their natural flavor.
  • Terra (1 star)
    Located in Fisterra and led by chef Brais Pichel, the restaurant aims to highlight the work of local producers, with a strong focus on local fish.
  • A Tafona (1 star)
    Santiago de Compostela hosts this restaurant led by Lucía Freitas. It is based on Galician products from the coast and garden, recovering traditional cuisines with local raw materials and evolving methodologies.
  • Casa Marcelo (1 star)
    Also in Santiago de Compostela, under Marcelo Tejedor, a reference for open, honest, and barrier-free cuisine, combining precision, respect for the product, and elegance.
  • Simpar (1 star)
    Close to Praza do Obradoiro, Alberto Lareo leads Simpar, which stands out for its technical, creative cuisine with strong Galician roots.
  • O’Pazo (1 star)
    In Padrón, the focus is on quality products and slow cooking. It is one of the best restaurants for lovers of grilled food and unadorned cuisine, carefully prepared by chef Óscar Vidal.

PONTEVEDRA
These are the seven Michelin-starred restaurants in the Rías Baixas:

  • Culler de Pau (2 stars)
    In O Grove, Javier Olleros and his family lead Culler de Pau. Their high-end cuisine is based on local products, with their own garden and strong commitment to sustainability, offering sophisticated experiences closely tied to the region.
  • Pepe Vieira (2 stars)
    Located in Poio and led by Pepe Vieira, this restaurant offers Galician signature cuisine. Its dishes reflect creativity and sophistication while maintaining the local identity that earned it two Michelin Stars.
  • Maruja Limón (1 star)
    In Vigo, under Rafa Centeno, Maruja Limón combines contemporary cuisine with Galician roots, using local products and innovative techniques to create balanced and surprising dishes.
  • Silabario (1 star)
    Also in Vigo, Alberto González Prelcic leads Silabario. Its new Galician cuisine reinterpretation offers accessible and refined tasting menus, highlighting the quality of local products.
  • Yayo Daporta (1 star)
    In Cambados, Yayo Daporta leads a restaurant combining land and sea. Its dishes are elegant, creative, and respectful of Galician tradition, using high-quality local ingredients.
  • Casa Solla (1 star)
    In Poio, Pepe Solla leads Casa Solla, a classic of Galician gastronomy. Its cuisine respects tradition, emphasizes local products, and offers elaborated tasting menus, consolidating its Michelin Star.
  • Eirado da Leña (1 star)
    In Pontevedra, Iñaki Bretal leads Eirado da Leña. Its cuisine focuses on Galician roots and local products, respecting culinary tradition and reflecting the identity and authentic flavors of the region.

OURENSE
Within less than a kilometer, these three restaurants make Ourense a reference in signature cuisine:

  • Ceibe (1 star)
    Near the Cathedral of Ourense, led by chefs Lydia del Olmo and Xoxé Magalhaes, it specializes in signature cuisine with a deep connection to local seasonal products.
  • Nova (1 star)
    Also in Ourense, Julio Sotomayor and Daniel Guzmán lead Nova. Its cuisine reflects a gastronomic foundation inherited from elders, where each ingredient brings flavor and personality.
  • Miguel González (1 star)
    Chef Miguel González leads his own restaurant opposite the Ourense market, featuring a cuisine of memories, sensations, and technique, based on garden, market, and livestock products.

LUGO
Lugo celebrates its first Michelin Star, a milestone for the province and its gastronomy.

  • Vértigo (1 star)
    In the Ribeira Sacra (Sober), at the Regina Viarum winery and led by Rafa Centeno, Vértigo offers cuisine marked by authenticity, product honesty, and direct contact with the producer.
