The PortAmérica Festival will be held once again in Galicia next July, between the 13th and 15th, although this year changes its location and moves to Caldas de Reis, counting once again with the best national and international independent music.
In recent years, PortAmérica has consolidated itself as a musical and gastronomic proposal of great importance, and after its six editions, the attendance of public has been increasing. Because PortAmérica is much more than music and concerts; it is a Michelin-starred gastronomic gathering (led by Pepe Solla). Thus, the gastronomic area (ShowRocking) is another of its strengths, another one of the great protagonists.
In addition, one more year has an important space destined to the market where to see and to buy products fruit of the talent of Galician designers and creators. Fashion, aesthetics and art have a place in this market.
For only 3 euros, attendees will be able to install their tents, vans or caravans in a space conditioned for the occasion. The only requirement for access to the camp is that, in addition to the specific entry, one has purchased a ticket for the festival. In addition, all proceeds from this camping area will be destined to a solidarity goal. This year, the Spanish Committee of UNHCR will benefit from the solidary granite of PortAmérica.
Among the confirmed artists for this edition are those already faithful to the festival (Iván Ferreiro and Xoel López), but also groups of recognized international fame, like The Horrors or Rufus T. Firefly, as well as great references of our country, as they are Carlos Sadness, Niños Mutantes, Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, Leiva or Carlos Jean.
It should also be noted that each year the festival increases its attendance by an average of 25%, and is an example of cultural and tourist dynamism in the province.
In short, there is a whole sum that makes, despite its young age, the PortAmérica festival is already one of the reference festivals in our country.
