What to do in Galicia the week of January 20th to 26th

If you have not yet seen the Begonte Bethlehem, use their last opening days to visit it. And if you’ve already been there, include in your plans for the next few days music in feminine, popular dance and an exhibition that will allow you to travel through time.

Dance of San Sebastián in Aldán

January 20th. Cangas

As every January 20th, the parish of Aldán honors San Sebastián with a dance that, due to its uniqueness, has been declared of tourist interest. A total of 16 people participated in this showy dance. The first news about its celebration dates back to the 17th century.

Female music

January 24th and 25th. Vigo, A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela

India Martínez and La Bien Querida, two of the most prominent female artists in Spain have agreed to choose Galicia to present their new albums with several concerts. India Martínez will visit Vigo (Friday 24th) and A Coruña (Saturday 25th) and La Bien Querida will play in Santiago de Compostela (Friday 24th) and Vigo (Saturday 25th).


Jessica Cottis and the Royal Philharmony

January 23th. Santiago de Compostela

The conductor Jessica Cottis returns to Galicia this week to perform the baton of the Royal Philharmony of Galicia in the concerts offered in Santiago de Compostela (Thursday 23) and Pontevedra (Friday 24). Enrike Solinís will also participate on guitar.

Galicia, a story in the world

Until April 12. Santiago de Compostela

A selection of pieces of great importance for the history and culture of this land works brought from countries around the world are currently displayed in the Gaiás Center Museum, of the City of Culture. This is the first major exhibition organized by the Xunta on the occasion of Xacobeo 2021.
