What to do in Galicia from August 23 to 29

We ended August with a full schedule of events. here are some of the most interesting:

Rapa das Bestas. Sabucedo

Festival of International Tourist Interest that this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, changes its date and is celebrated on August 27, 28 and 29.

Due to the pandemic, the activities will focus on the descent, rape, marking, identification and deworming of the animals, and the traditional work on Monday or the usual night festival will not be carried out.

Festa da Istoria. Ribadavia

This year the Festa da Istoria will be held in a reduced format and all the activity will take place inside the Castelo dos Sarmiento next Saturday, August 28.

It will feature music, medieval dancing, a fencing show, a craft market and a parade of period costumes.

The entrance to the castle will be controlled and there will be an entrance door and an exit door.

Concerts at the End of the World. Muxia

Music and the landscape are the main protagonists of these concerts that this week will be held, on Friday, August 27, at the Punta da Barxa lighthouse, in Muxía.

The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. with a DJ session led by Russinha and will continue at 9:00 p.m. with a performance by emerging artist Margarida Mariño. At ten o’clock at night we will enjoy a performance by Dulce Pontes.


Barbeira Season Fest 2021. Baiona

The third edition of the Barbería Season Fest is held on August 27, 28 and 29 and continues to promote ecological values ​​in an idyllic location and with great national and international artists.

This festival is directly related to the Camino de Santiago, specifically with the Portuguese Route along the Coast.


Resurrection Fest Estrella Galicia Limited 2021. Viveiro

This year it will be held in a reduced format from August 26 to 28 at the Celeiro Soccer Field.

Under the fan of Xacobeo 2021-22, it will have all possible safety and prevention measures. Those measures will be seated public, reduced capacity, social distance, masks and disinfection.

Great international artists of different styles and national and Galician bands will attend.
