O Son do Camiño.

The first edition of this festival will kick off this Thursday and it is almost sold out! It has two stages, restoration area, market and rest area for camping. Its essential objective is the promotion of the Way of Saint James and the future Xacobeo year 2021. We’re almost there!

Festa das cereixas de Paiosaco
June 30th – July 1st. A Laracha, A Coruña.
Cherries lovers are in luck, with this festival whose origins date back to the Middle Ages. Despite being held throughout the weekend, the main events will be on Sunday, the day on which nearly 300 stands will be concentrated, where cherries and other products derived from this red fruit are sold, as liqueurs, as well as other typical galician products, especially from the Bergantiños area.
Saturday night will be reserved for the performances of the best groups and orchestras of Galicia, which will liven up the festival that will be held at the fairgrounds.
So if you like cherries and music, you know where you can find a good plan this weekend, do not miss it!

Festa de exaltación do Pan de Cea
June 30th – July 1st. San Cristovo de Cea, Ourense.
The famous bread of Cea, made in this municipality of Ourense following an old recipe using traditional ovens, has its own celebration of exaltation, in this case the first Sunday of July. The program begins the previous afternoon, on Saturday, with workshops to elaborate this treasure of the Galician gastronomy.
On Sunday the Festa do Pan de Cea will be celebrated, beginning with the reading of the proclamation, which will give way to popular food and that of authorities, in which all kinds of products with Galician designation of origin will be served. There will also be a multitude of stalls selling all kinds of products, among which will be Cea’s precious bread, of which thousands of pieces are sold.
The musical performances will arrive in the afternoon, closing the party with a free tasting of bread, chorizos and wine.

A Rapa das Bestas de Candaoso
June 30th – July 1st. Boimente, Viveiro, Lugo.
This week you can live one of the most spectacular parties in Galicia: A Rapa das Bestas, this time in Candaoso. The traditional trimming of horsehair and tagging will be complemented by the taming of semi-wild horses that are bred in this Northern Sierra.
The party will continue until the night falls on the mountains of Candaoso, enjoying wine, empanadas and all kinds of traditional food that will be prepared to the rhythm of the bagpipes.
