WHAT TO DO IN GALICIA FROM JULY 26 TO AUGUST 1

Last week in July with a week full of traditional festivals, gastronomy, summer festivals and concerts. Here we leave you some of the most outstanding:

Albariño Festival. Cambados.

This weekend a new edition of the Albariño Festival is being held in Cambados.

From July 28 to August 1, Cambados becomes the capital of Albariño wine of the Rías Baixas Designation of Origin. If the health situation allows it, you will be able to taste the various wines from the wineries in the area and the best Albariño from the Denomination this year will be chosen.

There will also be a program of face-to-face concerts, with limited capacity.

Romería Vikinga. Catoria.

On August 1, like every first Sunday in August, the Viking Pilgrimage is celebrated in Catoira, a traditional festival of international tourist interest.

However this year on Sunday, the big day of the Viking Pilgrimage, there will be no disembarkation at the foot of the Torres de Oeste, but we will be able to see the incursion of a Viking fleet that will enter the waters of the Ulla River to the Island of Castrivello .

Valhalla Music Fest 2021. Catoira

Within the festivities of the Viking Pilgrimage of Catoira, on July 30, the Valhalla Music Fest will be held, in Alameda do Peirao, on the Catoria river beach, surrounded by nature.

In it you can enjoy seven Latin and electronic music artists, with all the anti-Covid security measures and four limited areas with restricted capacity.

TradFest 2021. Santiago de Compostela

In Bonaval Park the TradFest is held on July 31, which this year will feature performances by Antonio Prado and Miguel Vázquez, Mozart á Galega, Tor, Os da Porfía, Xico de Carinho and many more groups.

There will be two passes: the first at 11:30 am and the second at 8:00 pm.

At 10:00 pm and in Praza da Quintana there will be concerts by Banda das Crechas, Felisa Segade, Os da Porfía, Marcos Coll, Caamaño & Ameixeiras and Sheila Patricia; within the “Foliada del TradFest”.

Festival Interceltico do Morrazo. Moaña.

On July 30, 31 and August 1, 2021, as long as the health situation allows it, the Morrazo Inter-Celtic Festival is held in Moaña.There will be four concerts spread over the three days, three of them in a night session and one, as was done in the last edition, on Sunday in a noon session, again betting on a lineup populated by mainly Galician groups.

Music na Rúa. Escairon.

From July 30 to August 3, the Rock Music Festival is held in Escairón, in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra. A wide poster to enjoy music in the open air.

Nigrán Jazz Festival.

On July 30 and 31, several Jazz concerts will take place at the Auditorio da Foz do Miñor. With a luxurious location we can enjoy the best jazz while we enjoy the sunset.

O Son do Camiño
