Bueu celebrates a new edition of the SonRías Baixas

Do you have plans for August 3rd, 4th and 5th? If you still have a free space in the agenda, let us recommend the SonRías Baixas, a festival that this year reaches its edition number XV and that has become a reference of the Galician summers. Thus, every year, and during the first weekend of August, the Pontevedra locality of Bueu hosts this festival in which landscapes of dreams, gastronomy and good music are mixed. For this, they have numerous Galician, national and international artists who, once again, will take their music to this corner of the Atlantic.

The line-up of this edition is composed of bands known as Estopa, The Soul Breakers or the Galician Ses, among many others, completing a list that reaches 15 participants and which mix styles as different as rock, ska, punk or folk. To the program of concerts they are united a series of activities that conform what from the organization call “SonRías Experience” and that include a gastronomic festival and an audiovisual festival.

The gastronomic point comes from the hand of the different musicians who, during the festival, change their instruments by the stoves in what is called “Casa SonRías“, cooking their favorite dishes to offer to the attending public. All this, mixed with the rhythm of more live music and in an unparalleled atmosphere.

This year, in addition, the audiovisual festival will make a selection of musical short-films in a program designed specifically for the SonRías Baixas and which can be enjoyed throughout the afternoon of Saturday 5th, last day.

It is also worth mentioning the camping area with which they count and that is situated in a place of unequaled beauty, next to the main beach of the town.

The sum of all this makes this festival an unforgettable experience for anyone who comes to discover it. In fact, in the last edition and despite having been paused for two years, more than 16500 people approached Bueu, which made it the most successful and multitudinous edition so far.
