What to do in Galicia from August 27 to September 2?

We leave you here the most significant events this week, so you can write down in the agenda those that you most want to know. The summer is ending, but the parties in Galicia continue.

Romaría of San Ramón de Bealo

August 30 to September 3 – Bealo, Boiro, A Coruña.

With fertility as the epicenter, this rural pilgrimage, celebrated since 1756, has as its setting a historic enclave, full of petroglyphs and other historical vestiges: O Campo dos Outeiriños. One more reason to approach to ask San Ramón a pregnancy or a delivery without complications.

Feira Franca of Pontevedra

From August 31 to September 2 – Pontevedra.

Like every first weekend of September since 2000, Pontevedra travels to the 15th century to celebrate its Feira Franca. This ingrained celebration takes its name from the privilege that Enrique IV granted to the city in 1467, that allowed him to celebrate a tax-free market for a month. Visitors, disguised as villagers of the time, enjoy food stalls, crafts, music … all built using only materials available at the time represented: the second half of the fifteenth century. A perfect plan to end the summer!

Festa do Pan de Neda

Sunday August 2 – Parish of Neda (San Nicolás), Neda, A Coruña.

This Sunday is the XXX edition of the Festa do Pan de Neda, which will recover on this occasion its traditional empanadas contest. Crafts and music will meet at the town’s Maritime Walk, with bread, empanadas and pastries as the main protagonists.
